Don’t run to live, live to run!

With more reflection, experience, and miles completed, I think these popular running quotes sound nice, but I am not sure if they are correct.  Why do we need to choose? Running and life are so intertwined that success in one leads to success in the other. Why don’t we live to run and run to live?
