I’m solo on the podcast again this week and I want to speak with you about the change that is happening inside of us. The changes that come to us with age, with perspective and with experience. Lately, I’ve been thinking about all of the choices that I’ve made and wonder if they were the right ones. The jobs, the travels, the relationships, all of it. I think that perhaps it comes with age. Looking for the answer to the question, “Did I live myself the right way?”
With perspective, I can look back at many of these decisions and choices and know that the woman I am now would choose differently. But, given the chance to choose differently back then, would I? It’s the culmination of all of those choices that have led me to now. It’s been an education.
“I’m more educated about my own life, about the world, and what’s important. We get freedom later in life. We get to unlock all the prisons that we put ourselves in.” ~ Christina Rasmussen
The question I want to ask you today to think about for this week is, Who am I now and what do I need to look at from my past? From this different point of view, answering those questions is so important so that you can choose the right path ahead of you. We get freedom later in life. We get freedom from what we learn from our experiences and choices, the joyous ones and the extremely difficult ones. We’ve earned the right to unlock ourselves from the prisons we have put ourselves in and decide how to move forward.
