Text: John 1:14-18
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’ ”) For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
It is a thought unlike any that has been dreamed of by man—often thought of as preposterous or ridiculous. The very idea that deity, in all of His power, wisdom, glory, and would lay it all down and take on flesh. No god ever dreamed up by mankind would do such a thing. And yet, one of the great differences between God and any mythical god devised by the mind of men is that God loves! He is not only the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present Creator and Ruler of the universe, but He is also a loving Father. Thus, His Son came into the world and took on flesh in order to show us God and bring grace and truth to mankind. He came because He loved us!
How does Jesus coming into the world prove the love of God?
Don’t forget to pray and have a great day!
