SAVN.TV is the video-driven voice of the Salvation Army. It’s purpose is to share short films, video presentations, and other content about the message and work of the Salvation Army worldwide. Not only are these Internet TV call letters an acronym for Salvation Army Vision Network; they are also a contraction of the word, "SALVATION" -- a Salvation Army Internet Mission Station where salvation can be proclaimed and found.
Jesus Christ first cast the vision for this Mission Station in His proclamation of the Great Commission: Go into all the world and preach the good news (of salvation) to all creation (Mark 16:15). William Booth, co-founder of The Salvation Army, carried this vision into the 19th and 20th Centuries with his proclamation: "We are a salvation people. This is our specialty – getting saved, keeping saved, and getting other people saved."
GUY NOLAND
After earning a Masters Degree in Cinema and TV Arts, Guy spent many years working as a Production Executive in the entertainment industry. He has worked in executive capacities with such companies as Universal Studios, CBS, The Arthur Company, Westar Media Group, Westwood One Broadcasting, Compass Arts Productions, and The Bubble Factory. Along with his professional career, Mr. Noland retains a college professorship in an effort to educate young filmmakers in the art of storytelling. Guy currently functions as the Executive Producer/Director of SAVN.tv, a new online media network sponsored by The Salvation Army, Western Territory.
