The AHA moment for starting a Paleo and organic lifestyle business called EKG hit while Gina Cavallo of New Rochelle and NYC was visiting her friend Emily Farley in Atlanta. After brainstorming over a gluten free pizza (love when that happens) they decided they could utilize their combined professional strengths and personal passions to bring organic and Paleo, yet affordable and healthy options to the world. Like most folks, they found themselves complaining about the work they were in, and fantasizing about starting their own company, wearing yoga pants instead of suits, and getting to hang out with their best friend all day, not to mention making a difference in the world, and yes, maybe even killing it a little bit financially.
This week the EKG Project announced that it has launched it's On-line Store officially offering it's various Paleo baked good direct to consumer's doors both locally in New York City and across the nation.
EKG Project's on-line store opens with a brand new look and feel, new packaging and a strong brand message being - GET CONSUMED.
Their first initiative will be Get Consumed with Giving - where consumers can help give back to the NYC community.
Every quarter the EKG Project will be picking a charity to donate a percentage of our proceeds to - the first launch organization is Father's Heart in the East Village where co-founders Emily Farley and Gina Cavallo volunteer in their soup kitchen every Saturday together.
