Sometimes we need to be told what we don’t want to hear.
Why?
Sometimes it’s the only way to get to the root of the problem.
Even though we may have systems to organize responsibilities in life, we still shoot from the hip at times.
A written plan TRUMPS any ideas from the hip.
Taking the time to organize how we operate instead of rushing from thing to thing to thing leads to a prosperous life.
In the book, The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor, you are able to plan out a life that leads to operating the most from your day.
The written plan is based upon what you want. It supports the why for what you want. If you’re not operating from some type of structured plan, you can still operate in audible (planned) mode, but it’s not as fluid.
Powerful people declare what they’re going to do and then they do it from a written plan.
It’s amazing what taking 5 minutes in the morning can do to lead you towards a life that you LOVE as you collapse time with a more productive day.
Ask yourself:
* Sometime over the weekend, what is a time that I can set aside on a weekly basis to form my written plan for the upcoming week in my General’s Tent/Queen’s Quarters?
* What are the things that matter most in my life?
* What would my life look like if I put important things into an automatic plan of action?
Highly successful and highly committed people have a written plan.
