This is a special edition of the podcast on the results of the #SCPrimary. It is important to realize that while the voters clearly picked Donald Trump over the rest of the field, there are certain things that they did not vote for that need to be brought out into the light and talked about.
In recent years establishment Republicans win by running on conservative principles and values, and not on their moderate (establishment) based records. (Think – 2012 and Mitch McConnell.) This is because elections don’t boil down to principles – they are too often decided on personalities. We need to start asking WHAT won instead of WHO won – otherwise we will be electing good campaigners instead of people with good policies and principles.
