Gary Loper has dedicated every day of the past 25 years on personal development and his lifelong enthusiasm and passion is to assist individuals in becoming their best. He has a marketing background, as well as being an energy practitioner with a number of different master level teaching certifications. “I’ve always been in kind of a teaching/coaching role in all those different jobs that I have had through my life.” Gary worked in message therapy for the disabled, and when funding was cut for that program he lost his drive. While immersing himself into personal development, he started using Twitter as a tool to share uplifting quotes to keep himself and others motivated. He’s been a coach since 1999 but didn’t says he didn’t do anything with this until he discovered the uses for Twitter. “People started responding to me. I got tweets, I got questions; (I’ll use) Twitter to be able to go out and be able to reach and help the world.” One of the many upsides to Twitter versus Facebook is you don’t have to be restricted and you can talk to people from all over, not just people that you know. This gives you the opportunity to reach many more people on a grander scale. “Twitter is wide open; you can craft your tweets so anyone in the world at any time can see your stuff if they are looking for it.” Gary says with Twitter you are able to drill down to a general topic of conversation with your hash tag strategies, therefore targeting people that are interested in what you are tweeting about. As a business owner Gary says you should be tweeting 20 times per day or you will be invisible. Some advice he gives to be able to do that is re-tweets, quotes, sharing articles and engagement tweets. “If you want engagement you have to give engagement first, cause people are watching to see if you’re real and that’s how we sort of audition.” Twitter parties are a great way to interact and connect with people who also have the same interests as you.
