Coach Ryan digs into the main points and shares his 10 years of coaching experience and the knowledge gained from earning a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics. The second article is from elite coach Bobby McGee, titled “Quality vs Quantity in Running.” This article review is packed full of tons of “little” tips that will make a huge difference for you in training and while racing.
The last segment of this episode will break down the publically available power files provided by the professionals to Training Peaks for the 2016 IRONMAN World Championships. Coach Ryan gets into the details of reading the power files and analyzing the race for multiple professional athletes as well as comparing the 2016 files to some of the top performances from the past. The video below is from the power file analysis, listening to numbers being rattle off can be confusing. The video will help you follow along with coach Ryan Riell as he goes through the 2016 IRONMAN World Championship power file analysis.
