In a nation becoming increasingly diverse, the need for interfaith engagement is growing. But it remains difficult to build meaningful relationships between neighbors and groups that follow different religions.
In this episode, I get to introduce to you a longtime friend of mine, someone I met when I first started to get to know the Muslim community. Tarek El-Messidi was a college student then, and now he is a BIG DEAL: in 2012 he was listed as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world, and he now regularly consults the White House and other national bodies on the challenges facing the US Muslim community. More than anything I consider him a close friend and inspiration, and I’m excited to bring his unique voice to this podcast.
