Asheli S. Atkins has always had a passion for assisting African Americans in moving out of and, at times, from under social circumstances. In preparation to be a vehicle for change she is in pursuit of her PhD in Sociology at Texas A&M University, where she is researching the socially perceived legitimacy of African American entrepreneurs. Additionally, Asheli works with the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce, where she assists in Marketing & Membership.
