This week we are talking the importance of self-care, but first and foremost, WHAT IS IT? What does it mean? How do you do it? What are some easy ways we can practiced better care for ourselves? Some of the points I discuss:
1. Self-care should not be a once-in-a-while BIG thing. It should be small habits that you build into your everyday routines.
2. SLEEP is so important, and most of us could be doing better about getting proper rest.
3. It's important to practice good "emotional hygiene." I explain what I mean by that with some ideas about how you can focus on improving in this area too.
4. We need to let go of "busy" as a badge. the best and most effective workers are not those that are "on" 24/7 and constantly stressed. The best and most effective workers (at home or in the workplace) are those who balance their work with downtime.
