Michael Rogers, communications officer for the Small Business Association of Michigan, talks with Tom Olive, president of Crystal Flash, a small company that provides energy to customers across the Great Lakes region. Tom discusses their employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), implemented in 2016 when the Fehsenfeld family decided to transition their interest in the company after more than 80 years and three generations of leadership.
