It’s our final week of ClexaCon talk, here at The Televerse. After a lengthy look at the week in TV, we round out the podcast with audio from ClexaCon 2017’s It Takes a Village: Allies in the Media panel, moderated by Dr. Elizabeth Bridges and featuring Bridget Liszewski of The TV Junkies, along with Noel and Kate. Before we get to the panel, however, Noel and Kate talk through our very full week of viewing. First up are the comedies, including the premieres of Trial & Error and Review, a rare misfire from black-ish, and solid entries from The Detour, Fresh Off the Boat, and Speechless. Next is reality, with looks at this week’s much-discussed Trump taxes episode of The Rachel Maddow Show and series four of The Great British Bake Off, newly added to Netflix. For genre, the premieres of Samurai Jack and Iron Fist leave us with very different tastes in our mouths, and we’re similarly mixed on Steven Universe, The Flash, and Legion, and last up are the dramas, including the premieres of Greenleaf and American Crime, the Elementary Kitty two-parter, and new installments of Feud: Bette and Joan and The Good Fight.
