For the last two months, I had this huge TV box sitting on my back porch.
And then my boys broke their bed from jumping on it (side note: little boy beds are not meant for little Polynesian boys jumping on them), so we have these broken pieces up in my loft.
And pretty soon, we got use to the mess that these have created, almost like a contemporary piece of art that is tucked in the corner of the house and just permanently there.
The thought keeps popping in that I should contact this person or ask that person to help me move them, but then something else would come up and the empty box and broken bed would get shoved to the back of my thoughts again.
For TWO MONTHS I allowed this to occur, until I finally asked myself the simple question,
"What is it going to take to get rid of this stuff?"
Today I brought the bed down and put it next to the box, and I took my son's rusted bike that has been in our garage for TWO YEARS and placed that next to the mess as well.
How many times in your life do you have junk literally laying around that you keep avoiding?
How long have you been carrying around this junk?
Figuratively, what judgments and stories from the past are creating junk in your mind. We can make up excuses all day long, but at the end of the day the burden is still there, and it's self-inflicted.
Instead of carrying around this garbage, clean it up!
How?
Through productivity, meaning you're actually going to do something about the junk and remove it from your mind and physical space.
Oftentimes, it's not about getting more, but asking better questions.
Productivity requires you to ASK MORE POWERFUL QUESTIONS.
Powerful questions allow us to access space.
And within 5 minutes, I was able to access more space by asking my landscapers if they would take my junk to the dump for me for a fee.
We can't afford to let junk, garbage, grudges, hate, or jealousy to overwhelm us.
It sucks the life force from us.
Where in your life can you get rid of the excess junk that isn't serving you.
LET IT GO!
Drop the dead weight and get rid of the garbage that continues to sit around so that you have MORE SPACE.
You will find more power to create, and energy to see something.
