Are you exercising too much? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. Exercise is a vital part of staying healthy and living a long life. We need exercise to properly digest our food, have mental clarity, and balance our hormones, but too much of a good thing – is a bad thing. Be sure that your exercise routine includes at least one day of rest per week. The body needs time to repair and recuperate. If you overdo it, by exercising too much or for too many days in a row, you’re risk of injury, illness, and irritability go up. I suggest that you also rotate your exercise and incorporate gentle yoga or something similar on one day, and then be sure you have one day of complete rest and relaxation. Because you can control your health and your future.
