I sat down with a local surfer in my area recently and had a conversation about seeing what I see.
I listen not only with my ear but with my heart and discover what's going on in their life as well as what's getting in the way.
I ask him, What do you want?
"I want to be better."
That's fine, but what is it that he wants to be better at?
He wasn't clear.
There's no need to make excuses to explain what it is that we REALLY want.
Human beings are so sedated, they can't even tell the truth about what it is that they want.
We've all been taught to settle and sedate to remain mediocre.
After delving a little bit more, he admitted that he wants to take his surfing even further and wanted to become the best, but it was hard for him to admit it.
Why?
Why is it hard to see ourselves as someone desiring to be the best?
If you have a mindset of an authentic person, you already know that you're going to operate from a truthful place about where you are and where you want to go.
This is how a POWERFUL person operates.
I love that this young man was being honest with me, as it allowed me to see more.
Whatever we believe to be true, we behave accordingly.
If you believe that anything is possible, you'll do whatever you need to undo to achieve it.
If you DON'T believe that anything is possible, you're limited in your beliefs.
COMMIT TO THE CLARITY.
Do you believe that you're the best? Do you even want to be the best?
You must CHOOSE to be the best. It's a CHOICE to be the BEST, and only you can make it.
Often, we don't choose to operate from a place of greatness because we aren't clear about what it is that we want.
It was a great conversation that I had with this high schooler, and I think he has the potential to truly be the best if he does what
When you get clear about the possibilities not being impossible, it becomes a moral obligation to succeed.
We have a moral obligation to impact others with our greatness.
It may require shifting the way that we operate on a daily basis, especially if we wake up early.
If you are committed to what you want, you can have it.
IF you're willing to pay the price for it.
How we think and see the world is how we align our actions and behaviors.
How you see yourself as the best is 80% of the struggle.
HOW YOU SEE YOURSELF IS EVERYTHING!!!
If you can see yourself as the best, you're going to do whatever is required.
Commit and stop making excuses.
Find a way.
Champions stop making excuses and find ways to win.
YOU'RE IN CHARGE.
