So last week I was feeling both physically and mentally suckage, as Front 242 might say. I had a million things to do, I felt like I was hitting failure walls in a bunch of stuff, the country is continuing to be a disaster area (both figuratively and literally) and I just couldn't seem to give a shit about much of anything. So I decided to skip the week.
This week, I've seen Public Service Broadcasting play at the Swedish American Hall and Ride play at The Fillmore, and tonight I'm going to see Andrew W.K. at The Independent. One of my artistic projects has mildly resurrected itself from the dead, and we'll see if that continues. That all helped to sort of recharge the batteries a bit and get me going again.
In the spirit of just getting up and getting on with it, I give you the biggest episode I've ever done. I've got a shitload of filespace for the month, having skipped two weeks essentially, and just decided to do a huge huge show. No scene show - maybe next week or the week after, depending on time.
(Also, if you're the person who was flying the helicopter over my home for about an hour during the recording of this episode... you'll never take me alive...)
Hopefully you enjoy the episode, and it's got something for just about everyone in it. It's got rock, it's got electronica, it's got metal, it's got jazz, it's... well, it's ultra big, and you can listen to it for as long as you need to, or in as many sessions as you want. Just listen, and if you enjoy the show, give me a simple shoutout via Twitter or email or whatever. That kind of thing means way more than you realize, especially in the autumn/winter.
You also probably shouldn't look at the setlist until you've listened to it. It'll be way more fun that way.
So now, the megashow.
