After a slow weekend of boxing action we look ahead to the following weekend that looks to be chock full of intriguing matchups. In what appears to be the most competitive and intriguing matchup on the schedule, this upcoming Saturday night, Christina Hammer takes on Claressa Shields in a winner take all showdown. This one is for all the marbles as both women look to become the undisputed unified women’s middleweight champion of the world. Another interesting fight on the schedule has unified lightweight champion defending his WBA and WBO lightweight titles against the very tough, rugged, and experienced former title challenger Anthony Crolla. Lomanchenko is the clear favorite going in but the durable Crolla always comes to fight and, given his track record, probably won’t go away quietly.
