The Fellowship is pleased to present our discussion of the Apollo 11 moon landing on or near the 50th anniversary of the event. This was a huge event not only from a scientific perspective, but also for nationalism during the Cold War and for popular culture (for the TV coverage alone). We talk about NASA, the government, conspiracy theories, space shuttle accidents, and a whole lot of other stuff. Plus our usual weirdness and our picks of the week. The moon landing was a huge step for humanity, one I hope we can find a way to make useful sometime soon. We've certainly found plenty of ways to corrupt it, make fun of it, and blindly refuse to believe it. And I was close, sort of - it was A Trip To The Moon (1902), not The First Men In The Moon (the HG Wells story published in 1901, first made into a movie in 1919).
