Navigating this new space. Introduction to self.
The word darkness in lieu of depression to make it more palatable; personal and vulnerable examples of struggle led to very deep human connection with others. Talking about hard things grows us in our relationships with others, but also in our own skin.
Loving yourself even though you aren't perfect. How to sit in the discomfort after talking about hurt and pain, and how to connect and laugh.
Being kind to one another as social currency. Authentic but kind.
The purpose of the hard conversations is to de-stigmatize what we’re allowed to talk about - these are the conversations that drive intimate human connection.
Struggle is what connects us. Future subjects of conversations: drugs, sex, dating, toxic relationships, friendship, addiction, depression, fear, anxiety, leaving your comfort zone, setting boundaries, body image, meditation, self development, exercising/being active,self- discipline, climate change, reducing our carbon footprint, passion projects, travel, community service, being more fulfilled, being of service to others.
It’s time to take some responsibility for our lives and our happiness. We can CHOOSE to live a happier life.
