This interview is a real treat for me. I’ve invited Tom Davis back on the podcast.
You’ll remember him from Episode 047. Tom is really good at several things, including Medicare Advantage Plans, coaching, consulting, and telemedicine. And he has recently been focused on telemedicine. He wanted to figure out how to optimize the practice of telemedicine to benefit physicians and patients, rather than big corporations.
So, he tested how efficiently he could see patients, and how much revenue he could generate doing telemedicine part time.
As a result, he has become an absolute expert in telemedicine. He even wrote a book called Telemedicine Confidential to help patients understand and use telemedicine appropriately.
And he subsequently developed several useful resources for physicians interested in learning about contracting, getting paid well and on time, reducing liability, etc., which he describes during our conversation.
He also explains why telemedicine may be the best antidote to the frustrations inherent in physician employment, and one of the best ways to generate income while searching for a new career.
