It is a truth of nature that sometimes things need to die in order for new life to blossom. Leaves fall and new growth appears on the trees. The trimming of bushes gives rise to healthier growth. We shed thousands of cells every day from our bodies making way for new, healthy ones to grow. While the shedding of what no longer serves is a regular part of the natural world, we can have a very hard time when it plays out in our human world. Relationships end, jobs end, children, grow and leave home, we age… and many of us suffer. On this week’s episode of Wonder Your Way to Brilliant, we begin exploring the Niyama of Tapas, the practice of self-discipline that enables is to encounter the shedding with strength, resilience, and wisdom.
