In a highly entertaining bout IBF Welterweight Champion Errol Spence squared off against WBC Welterweight Champion Shawn Porter. Spence went in to to the fight as the huge favorite but Porter did not fight anything like the eight to one underdog the odds makers had it. Porter gave Spence more trouble than most expected with his movement and he was able to land punches from awkward angles but Spence closed the show strong and scored a knockdown in the eleventh round that seemingly sealed the deal for him.
