Chris Reis is a former NFL safety with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. He was a member of the Saints’ 2009 Super Bowl-winning team and is most notable for his recovery of an onside kick to start the second half of Super Bowl XLIV, which helped propel the Saints to their first-ever Super Bowl victory.
Reis played his college football at Georgia Tech and went undrafted coming into the NFL. He signed with the Falcons in 2006 but was released. After a stint in NFL Europe, Reis signed with the Saints and went on to play four seasons in New Orleans from 2007-2010.
After his retirement from the NFL, Reis follow a call on his life to pursue ministry. Today, he is a lead pastor at Our Savior’s Church in Youngsville, La.
