Oklahoma Contemporary is a household name in the Oklahoma art community, and the organization provides space for art exhibitions, performances, and art classes. Director of Communications Lori Brooks and Artistic Director Jeremiah Matthew Davis came to talk to us about the upcoming re-opening of Oklahoma Contemporary in their new space on Broadway in Downtown OKC.
We learned all about the new space and what it has to offer on every floor of the new building. There are a lot of classes that will be offered, including classes on pottery, life drawing, and digital media. We learned about the veterans initiative that supports veterans in developing their studio practice and the summer camp classes for kids that include skateboard making.
The official opening celebration is March 12, and after that, Oklahoma Contemporary is open to the public. Tickets for the opening celebration are on sale now. Get yours here.
