Dan is a Painter. He is also the co-owner of Heavenly Spirits, a leading importer of artisanal French spirits, such as Armagnac, Calvados, Cognac, whisky, gin, aperitifs and liqueurs. Mr. Cooney is a self-described project oriented visual communicator who enjoys all stages of the creative design process and working with a variety of materials.
Although he wears a couple of hats, he considers himself a painter of pictures who likes towork in series.
He is a former Professor of Art at Bridgewater State University. Dan received his BFA from the Swain School of Design in 1981 and, his MFA in Painting from the University of California Berkeley in 1989.
