Alok is an internationally renowned gender nonconforming writer and performance artist who identifies as nonbinary. Alok uses they/them pronouns, as they believe that their gender resists definition and continues in a fluid motion. Alok’s work is focused on gender and racial justice. They also write about trauma, healing, and belonging. Alok has performed in over 40 countries and 500 venues across the world. In 2019, Alok was honored as one of NBC’s Pride 50 and Out Magazine’s OUT 100.
