Becky and Tiffany sit down with Sariah Hoffman, a yoga therapist in Lehi, Utah. Sariah shares how her work in helping those suffering from betrayal trauma has changed her life. As someone who suffered from betrayal trauma, she learned years ago that the definition of yoga is the cessation of the fluctuation of the mind. If she could breathe, focus, and see things clearly, she began to see herself. Sariah has taught hundreds of people that every kind of body can do yoga. Through learning to breathe, and understanding that we receive our breath as a gift from God, Sariah helps her students to release the stored, unfelt emotions trapped in their bodies. This addresses the emotional backpack we carry around inside our bodies. She feels that although talk therapy helped her, she found herself stuck in the same place over and over again. When she utilized yoga and got in her body, that’s when the big changes happened.
