Trent Loucks - Running the Human Terrain System - The Human Terrain System was an attempt to bring academic research capability to the battlefield. The system's roots reach back to the Vietnam effort to do something similar. Trent Loucks, a US Army LTC deployed as a team leader, then ran HTS as it tried to adapt to the ever-changing demands of modern combat and fickle DOD interests and budgets. 

Pete A Turner is joined by fellow HTS'er John Allen (AKA Lite Beer Panda) as the three compare notes on the program, deployments and what might be next for this dormant capability.
