Susman Godfrey's founder, Stephen Susman, died in July after a serious cycling accident and a bout with COVID-19. In August, the firm partnership elected Los Angeles litigator Kalpana Srinivasan to serve as a managing partner. She is the first woman and the first attorney outside Susman Godfrey’s Houston base to have that role. On this episode, Law.com reporter Brenda Sapino Jeffries checks in with Srinivasan to discuss the changes at Susman Godfrey and her goals as managing partner. Srinivasan also discusses what it's been like to step into firm leadership amid the pandemic and how the firm is courting clients with the promise of shared risk and flexible fees.
