In episode #015, Sara Fung discusses her experience working as a nurse in a women's health unit. She is a Masters prepared nurse with over 10 years of experience in women's health, obstetrics, and neonatal intensive care.
Earlier in her career, Sara worked in an early pregnancy clinic for women experiencing first trimester losses. She provided emotional support, helped them to understand their medical options, and then followed up on their physical and emotional status. Sara also shares her expertise with referring women to a fertility specialist after multiple pregnancy losses. We discuss how to best support women during this difficult time, and how the healthcare system could improve services related to miscarriage.
