In today's show, Lisa shares how after leaving her job as an RN and becoming a stay-at-home mom, she found herself exhausted with no idea what the future held.
After months of little sleep with her colicky newborn, she joined the local gym, dropped her little girl off at the daycare and took to running on the track.
Lisa recalls the months of running and fervently praying for God to give her a passion again.
She shares how hard the silence was, but that she continued to press on in her prayers. She remembers sobbing as she ran, unsure where God was leading her, until one day He revealed His plan for her life.
And it was there, on that gym track where her online ministry and the pages of her book, The Self-Care Impact, were born.
In today's conversation, Lisa shares the #1 thing we can do when it comes to our self-care (and it only takes a few minutes!)
I love how Lisa recalls that God doesn't need us to be whole and healed to go to Him, but rather, He'll meet us right in the beautiful messes of our life!
You're going to love my conversation with Lisa today as she shares her best, easy to implement self-care strategy that works when we're in even the most difficult seasons in our life.
So grab your favorite beverage, that basket of clothes that needs folding, or turn up the volume on your morning commute and listen to this week's episode, Self-Care According to the Bible.
