Have you heard of Barker & Sloane? This stunningly beautiful skincare brand, founded by Claire Barker, launched at The Game Fair last year and literally flew off the shelves. Combining sustainability credentials with high quality formulations to support outdoor skin, it's hardly surprising that this brand continues to go from strength to strength. You'll notice the names are more than a little brilliant too, and firmly connect the brand to its target market.
The initial idea came from the want to make the precious honey produced by Claire's bees go further, and that has led to Barker & Sloane and even more.
Of course, no business journey goes without a hitch, and Claire openly talks about the lows that her business has faced along the way including a name change, delays in getting products approved, and missing the Christmas trade last year. But don't worry, there's a LOT of highs too. And this is all for a business that's just 18 months old.
