This week Sally is joined by Dr Tunde Okewale MBE; a hugely successful Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers. Tunde is the founder of ‘Urban Lawyers’, a charity that aims to educate, engage and stimulate discussion amongst young people about their attitudes towards criminal law, policing and personal responsibility.
Tunde shares the story of his successful journey into Law; from a council estate in East London he recalls how even his experience working at Sainsburys provided him with valuable life experience that he uses to this day.
Tunde and Sally discuss the Black Lives Matter campaign, and the effect it is having on society and the bar, as well as the effect COVID could have on the legal profession, especially new entrants.
