Failures in real estate are not setbacks, but experiences that propel you further than you could have gone before. On today’s episode, we talk with Kristine Jefferson, multifamily investor, about how went from a stay-at-home mom to over 1400 doors.
Kristine started off in residential real estate until a large failure proved she was meant for more. With the lessons she learned, she pivoted to large multifamily deals and syndications. We discuss with Kristine the value in taking responsibility for your mistakes and how you can move forward, why partnering is a great option for growth, how to vet syndication sponsors, and how she’s built a successful portfolio in only a few years. Kristine also shares with us why being a passive investor first is a great steppingstone to being a project sponsor.
Kristine Jefferson is a co-founder of Mission Bay Capital Partners. They are owners/operators of over 1400 units with over $100M in assets. She manages the capital raising arm for MBCP and is a multifamily investor with over 10 years of experience in real estate investing and syndication.
