— “Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.”
Rev. Marc Baisden does not believe that we were created to tolerate abuse in any form. Imposing Stigmas/Labels, Emotional, Physical, Mental and Spiritual Traumas, Denying Benefits to those who have need, and the list is infinite. We are a society that has become desensitized to many forms of abuse, to our roles, to the false stories and lack of more positive outcomes. The underlying apathy/ambivalence of "Why should I get involved, nothing can come from my involvement", these attitudes that well no one else is doing anything about it, and no one believes it could happen so what will it hurt. He could list comments and beliefs all day long.
What is a man that does not make the world better?
Rev. Marc has faith in humanity that we can return to what is right. It would be hard to believe otherwise, at least for me, after what we have seen, the people and families he has worked with, what he has done himself or not done, and still to have honored to be a part of others healing, growth and recovery in their lives.
Let us live a different message and ask different questions. See the change, Be a part of the Change and Live a fruitful life for yourself first and then for others.
