Last week I talked about the 3 areas we need to think about as we visualize what we want in the future.
Those emotional, environmental, and financial goals form a baseline and a scaffolding for what we have to prioritize.
In order to commit to the activities that get us what we want, we have to get clear on the opportunities we should seize and what we need to let go of. If we try to leverage too many things, we risk diluting our effectiveness.
In this episode, I share the two things that will help you commit to and stick with what you want to accomplish.
3 Things You’ll Learn in This Episode
Every single day presents opportunities. A New Year isn’t what triggers renewal or a commitment to our goals. It's a mental choice we have to make, and we can make it at any time of the year. Saying no to things is a learned skill, it takes practice and courage to get comfortable with it. Practice saying no out loud to overcome the fear and discomfort you might have around saying it to other people. No matter how strong your commitment to a goal is, distractions, setbacks, and unpredictable moments are inevitable. Accept that you’ll need mental, emotional, and personal space, and plan for it.
