Valeria Teles interviews Karen Trench — The author of Love Loss Light: Illuminating the Path Through Grief
Back in the mid-‘80s and early ‘90s, Karen enjoyed a successful career in the burgeoning cable television industry. But one day in 1992, as she was returning to her office after lunch, she almost literally ran into the man who would become her soulmate and best friend. For 23 years, she and her beloved husband, Charlie, lived a blissful, loving life in a beautiful log cabin high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, until April 6, 2015, when he made the choice to leave the world and Karen for good.
When she found herself a widow, a shocked survivor of her husband’s death, Karen could not have conceived that she would someday emerge from the wreckage a strong, happy, and emotionally empowered woman. She shares her story in her award-winning book, Love Loss Light-Illuminating the Path Through Grief with a fervent prayer that it may be of service to her fellow travelers in grief.
In addition to her writing, Karen is also an empowering life coach. She has a deep passion for helping women, and in particular, widows, step fully into the light that is their life; to help them examine their belief system and reach their full human potential individually and collectively.
