Tree Carr is an author, dream guide, death doula, mystic, filmmaker and musician. Here we talk through the dying process, dream states, the out of body experience, astral projection, funerary herbs and explore ways of dying and navigating the afterlife both as the deceased and as the bereaved. A note of caution – our discussion is thorough, open and graphic and some might find the content disturbing.
We begin our journey with a recording of one of Tree’s plants which is a potent dream herb, native to Central America, its Mexican name is calea zacatechichi, The Latin is calea ternifolia and it is a member of the asteraceae family.
You can explore more death and dying with Tree in our Wild Alchemy Journal where she investigates the alchemical process of dying, dark matter and cosmic consciousness. You can find her at luciddreamtree.com @tree_carr and @death_doula_tree
Finally, I will leave you with extracts from the Egyptian and Tibetan Books of the Dead and after Tree will take you on a guided meditation and drawing exercise. To submit your drawing to become part of a collective artwork please email to hello@wildalchemylab.com
