The topic of mental health has found its way into Car Con Carne throughout the pandemic. Tonight, we meet Amy Kartheiser, whose brother Mark killed himself 7 years ago. After wrestling with depression and facing the stigma associated with suicide, Kartheiser launched the “Under the Same Sky” charity, “dedicated to raising awareness, opening conversations and creating additional funding for areas of need in suicide awareness and survivor support.”
