In today's show, Deb Schroeder from Jesus Is My Hashtag joins me as she shares how she's learned the importance of breaking free of the comparison trap.
I'm a huge fan of social media, however, Satan can and will use it to feed into our insecurities. Therefore, we have to be diligent in our pursuit of discernment to know what's coming from God and what isn't.
Sometimes we have to make the choice to stay away from the triggers that make us feel less than someone else. After all, we know that our ultimate calling in life is to make God known and bring Him glory. To carry that out, He gave each of us each different gifts and talents to accomplish this.
No one gift is better or more than another.
Deb shares some practical tips and solutions on how to find peace in who you are rather than chasing after what someone else has.
In fact, one of those ways is that before we do anything, we need to check our Spirit and ask, "Am I seeking the approval of man or am I seeking the approval of God."
When we pursue what God wants for our life, rather than what everyone else is doing, we find that peace we've been searching for — that purpose that burns deep within our soul.
So grab your favorite beverage, that basket of clothes that needs folding, or turn up the volume on your morning commute and discover how to break free from the comparison trap.
