So often, when people find themselves in debt, they end up keeping it to themselves because they feel ashamed, but that isn’t productive, and it doesn’t solve the problem. We have to remember that debt doesn’t make us unlovable, and with the right plan, we can get out of it. 

How our emotions play a role in our debt:

For many women, shopping gives us an outlet to our emotions, so we end up spending money for short-term joy. The problem is, these moments never last long, so we have to get better at sitting with our emotions, instead of splurging the moment they arise.

Why high-earners need to change how they think about money:

When we’re bringing in a ton of money, it’s easy to spend on unnecessary luxuries, but that doesn’t mean we should. It’s important to think about what we really want/ what deserves to be splurged on and stop diverting from that path.
