I regularly get asked this question, and it's easy to see why there's a confusion, because in many ways, they're very similar. However, there are reasons why you might opt to work with one vs. the other, or reasons why you as an influencer might like to stay unattached to any particular brand.
Influencers, brand ambassadors, and sponsored people are such a key part of so many industries now, and take up an increasing amount of marketing budgets because of the ROI that they can deliver. That is, if the right brand ambassador or influencer is selected.
