In this episode of the Creative Spaces podcast, we talk to audio engineer Andy Symons. Andy has been working in the audio industry for over 30 years and started his professional career as a staff engineer at TRC Recording – a successful recording facility in Indiana that featured clients such as John Mellencamp, Aerosmith, John Fogerty, and the Bob and Tom Show. He also served as mastering engineer and Vice President of Operations at World Media Group and studio manager at The Lodge Recording Studios in Indianapolis, IN. Andy is currently doing session work at his home studio, The Sound Machine, and serves as Technical Director at Zionsville United Methodist Church. Andy joins us from his studio located outside of Indianapolis.
We talk about how he got started in audio engineering, a perfect “one take” with Aerosmith, and the challenges of producing engaging audio for a house of worship.
