Skip Novak (69) have been a sailor his whole life. First as a dinghy sailor home in Chicago, then as a round the world racing sailor and for the last 30 years he has been a pioneer in high latitude sailing. His company Pelagic regularly takes explorers, divers, climbers, scientists and TV crew too remote and cold places.
It's worth checking out this video of the new yacht in his fleet: The Pelagic 77 and this of the launch of Vinson of Antarctica
If you need more information about sailing in the high latitudes check out the book I wrote with Bob Shepton: High Latitude Sailing - Self-sufficient sailing techniques for cold waters and winter seasons.
