From best friends to business partners, Chara and Vanessa join us from Vancouver for a conversation about taking a passion and turning it into a conscious company. Throughout this episode Chara and Vaness discuss their personal journey that led them to become business partners, take a handle on their own health and well-being, intuitive decision making process, and the growth they’ve shared between their friendship and new business, Oat of the Ordinary, this last year.
Oat of the Ordinary was born out of Chara and Vanessa’s search for finding a breakfast product that would suit their health standards and needs. To their surprise a healthy, tasty, and convenient blend of oats was missing from the market; so together it became their mission to disrupt the industry and take matters into their own hands. Going from concept to product in a very short amount of time, the two discovered their individual traits complemented the other beautifully, lending the opportunity for them to create their company at rapid speed. Throughout the episode we discuss what they’ve learned in this last year, plans for the future, give back initiatives, and ways they look out for each other and their own mental well-being as business owners. This conversation was so insightful and inspiring, be sure to tune in and leave us your thoughts!
