Dave Raetz - Irvine Ranch Conservancy, Managing Nature - Dave Raetz is a friend of Pete's. Dave is the Vice President and COO of the Irvine Ranch Conservancy. The conservancy focuses on managing huge tracks of land throughout Orange County. Their goal is to create open spaces that are preserved, recreational, with an eye on stewardship and care.
The area the manage cover 10s of thousands of acres. This means more than simply mapping trails...Dave talks about dozens of organizations that he must partner with as the group works to manage the land. It's pretty incredible.
