Welcome and thank you for listening!
The postnatal period. Many first-time mothers have said, ‘I never knew how hard it was going to be …’ Yes, you don't know what you don't know. But with realistic expectations, accurate information and support, it really doesn't have to be that hard. In this episode, Midwife Margreet chats to first-time mom, Jeanie Els.
‘I'm Jeanie Els, I am a South African who grew up in Canada, and found my way back to SA a few years ago with my husband Louis. I'm a kinesiologist and physiotherapist on paper, and I've done my Stott Pilates instructor course. Life has its own way of unfolding and now I spend my time working online and looking after my one-year-old son, Joshua! I'm passionate about people and helping in any way I can. I love sharing information and experiences and I really believe in asking questions, sharing knowledge, and talking about everything!’
The episode focuses on the immediate postpartum period (up till a week) and tackles those awkward questions no one dares to ask.
