If you are anything like me, everytime a new social media platform or ‘must do to grow you business’ feature comes out, you might find yourself doing a familiar dance of ‘do I, don’t I’.
It’s easy to fall down the rabbit hole of keeping up with the Joneses when it comes to social media trends, platforms, and the do and don’ts that are always changing.
What we need to learn is how to master the art of letting go. Letting go of the feeling that we need to pivot and change every time a platform tells us too.
The reality is that social media is designed to keep us on its platform and they will do whatever necessary to keep us there.
That though, isn’t your goal is it?
Your objective is most likely to connect with your audience, provide them with something related to what you offer and at some point have some of your audience buy your product or service.
Social media is a tool that we use, but it isn’t the only tool we have available to us. We all need to remember this when interacting with it.
On this week's episode we (me and my pal George Kao - a soulful dude, coach and marketer) dive into why it's okay to let go of the idea that you need to keep up with all the trends, and do all the optimizing and what to focus on instead.
There are so many moving pieces when running a business, do yourself a solid, and make it a little easier for yourself by giving yourself permission to not have to do all the things.
Oh and before I sign off I wanted to mention I am hosting my first in person event in a lonnnnnng time. It’ll be hosted at The Yoga Attic on October 15th, where we will explore this theme of dismantling the barriers we’ve created within and around ourselves.
We will look at how what we are striving for in our businesses and life (more clients, a strong vision, more freedom, more fulfillment, more stability and wealth etc), can come to us as much as we move to it.
You can learn more about it here, and always feel free to hit reply if you have any questions about it.
As always, you’re doing better than you think! I believe in you.
